Paula Duncan/Ocker, Director

I am a true Brit - you might notice my accent. I was born in England and have lived in California for 17 years. San Francisco was wonderful for the first 8 then Marin called out hearts and to this School District. We are a blended family with two Frist Graders and two 5th Graders at Vallecito. I have a BA (Hons) Degree in Education and Art. I have worked as a Teacher for over 20 years on and off, from age 2- 12 years of age. Throughout my early career I participated in many fundraising activities and local volunteer agencies.  I had the Director position of my own company , dealing with the business and financial matters, in San Francisco working on interiors both residential and office spaces. I love the Art World in all its forms and understand how important it is for us all to thrive in what we love to do and create in whatever field suits us.

I currently work full time at the JCC Preschools in San Rafael and Tiburon as the Art Teacher. I create Art Shows and fundraisers for the PA and assist with developing the planning of events.

I am always up for fundraising and supporting the school for the Arts, Music , PE and extra school activities by helping in anyway possible to provide children, Teachers and families with positive experiences. I am delighted to join the CanDo Foundation to support our schools and community. I’m excited about what the year holds and how we can work together and give back to the District.
