Can Do! School Spotlight!
MARY E. SILVEIRA
The collaborative spirit at Mary E. Silveira is thriving again this year! There are so many wonderful creations our student artists have made! A special
thank you goes to Laura Wilson, our MES Art Teacher ! Your support to the Can Do! Family Giving Campaign makes the art program possible.
All grade levels have been working with clay to create candies for a school wide collaboration of the biggest box of chocolates ever!
Our third graders recently completed these ceramic donuts...
All TK through 1st grade students have collaborated to make a “living wall” with beautiful watercolor flowers, paper clay ladybugs, butterflies and dragonflies.
The kiln has been busy firing some pretty adorable TK octupuses (octopi?!) and fifth grade watering cans for an installation on the grassy knoll (area outside the art room) during Open House. I will
be introducing metal tooling to older grades next week and then launching into painting and drawing with all grades.
